Vibrazioniart

I have a confession to make.

I try to be open-minded and unprejudiced about motorcycles. I like sports bikes, dirt bikes and desert bikes. I like choppers, streetfighters and streetbikes. I like concept bikes, vintage bikes and resto-mods. I like Harley Davidsons and I particularly love Sportsters and Buells.

I like European bikes, Soviet bikes, Japanese bikes and American bikes. Given the chance, I'll ride any bike I can get my hands on.

But here's the confession - I don't really like BMWs. I'm not suggesting that they're bad in any way. I've ridden boxers and bricks and they're fine motorcycles. And it's not that they're ugly - I've owned and loved some pretty ugly motorcycles over the years. It's just that the brand doesn't resonate with me. (I might expand on the reasons behind this in another post.)

And although there are plenty of fine looking cafe-racers carved out of boxers, I've never seen a customised brick that I've liked.

Until now...


This is perfect. The bodywork is made of disused fifty-gallon oil drums which give it a sort of elegantly degraded look. But look beyond that and the bike works as a whole - The bodywork and the motor compliment each other. It has a sort of brutal beauty that I'd imaging BMW have always tried (and generally failed) to achieve. And it's punk as fuck! Which is why I love it.

I think it's going to be at EICMA and I hope I get to meet the people behind it...
