Peter Pan

MERCENARY ran a post about this when it dropped in 2020. I was reminded of that post earlier today and decided to see what had happened to the project.

So it turns out that the trailer and the pilot episode are on YouTube but I couldn't find the rest of the series. So I watched the pilot and enjoyed it. It's a reimagined Peter Pan (by JM Barrie) set in contemporary San Francisco. Shot mostly at night it has a Cyberpunk feel to it and there are plenty of motorcycle scenes that give a nod to Akira. It uses live action and animated sequences, occasionally combining both and the overall effect is delightfully weird.

I recommend it. I hope I can locate the rest of the series...
